About The Role

Family Law Senior Associate

Our Family Law team in Northampton is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an ambitious senior associate with experience in family law to work closely with partner, Sally Robinson.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded family law team undertaking complex, privately funded family work. You will work on a broad range of family law matters, including high value financial remedy cases, private children disputes and some cases that involve an international aspect. This family team is known for handling sensitive and challenging matters, cross border and complex family dynamics, while delivering exceptional support to clients during some of life’s most difficult moments. Our family team is Legal 500 and Chambers recognised.

As a senior associate, you’ll be managing your own family law caseload with a particular focus on financial remedy work and private law children matters. You will be working with an established and supportive team.

There are clear and structured progression pathways in place, with encouragement to take on increased responsibility for client relationships, business development and to play a key role in the team on a local and national level. You will –

  • Manage a broad caseload of family law matters with a particular focus on financial remedy and private law children matters.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider family team to provide a high quality service to clients.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Northampton practice by identifying opportunities for new business and developing lasting relationships that generate a strong and varied caseload.
  • Support, supervise and train more junior members of the team.

About You

About you

You will be a qualified solicitor, or Legal Executive, with atleast 5 years’ PQE and a strong background in family law. You will be able to show a particular technical background in financial remedy and private law children matters. Experience within the Northampton market and an existing network would be advantageous.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong technical ability, manage client relationships effectively and sensitively, have good commercial acumen and have a growth mindset.
