About The Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised IT Project Coordinator to join our IT team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within an IT Service Desk, Technical Support, Business Applications or IT Administration role who has gained some exposure to projects and is looking to develop a career in project management.

You will support the delivery of technology projects and business change initiatives, helping to coordinate activities, track progress, organise meetings and maintain project documentation. Working alongside experienced project managers, technical teams and business stakeholders, you will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

This role offers a clear development pathway into a full Project Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Support the planning and delivery of IT projects and change initiatives.
  • Assist with maintaining project plans, schedules, action logs and project documentation.
  • Help coordinate project activities between technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor project tasks and follow up on actions to ensure progress is maintained.
  • Support the tracking of project milestones, deliverables and timelines.
  • Assist with identifying and escalating potential risks, issues or delays.

Meetings and Reporting

  • Organise project meetings, workshops and review sessions.
  • Prepare agendas, record meeting notes and track agreed actions.
  • Support the production of project status updates and progress reports.
  • Maintain project documentation including RAID logs, action registers and decision logs.
  • Help ensure stakeholders receive timely updates on project progress.

Stakeholder Support

  • Build positive working relationships with IT teams, business stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support communication between project teams and business users.
  • Help gather business requirements and feedback during project delivery.
  • Assist with preparing communications and updates relating to project activities.

Testing and Implementation Support

  • Assist with coordinating testing activities and user acceptance testing.
  • Help track defects, issues and testing outcomes.
  • Support implementation planning, communications and business readiness activities.
  • Assist with ensuring documentation and support information is ready for service transition.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute ideas to improve project delivery processes, templates and reporting.
  • Develop knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Support the wider IT team with project-related administration and coordination activities.
 

About You

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Experience working within an IT environment such as Service Desk, Technical Support, Business Applications or IT Administration.
  • Exposure to IT projects, system implementations or business change activities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with different teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proactive approach to learning and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting project delivery or project administration activities.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall.
  • Experience maintaining action logs, project plans or status reports.
  • Understanding of ITIL or IT Service Management principles.
  • Foundation-level project management qualification or willingness to work towards one (PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM Foundation or similar).
  • Experience within a legal, professional services or corporate IT environment.
