About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Family Law team based in Cambridge. You’ll be joining a strong family law team in East Anglia, and nationally, where you will be offered the opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing development of the team and contribute to the firm’s growing presence in the local market.
As a Senior Associate in our recognised family law team, you’ll be managing your own family law caseload with a particular focus on financial remedy work. You will be working with an established and supportive team, advising clients on complex and often sensitive matters.
As our firm continues to grow, we are keen to strengthen our footprint in the Cambridge area. We are looking to hire someone who is locally based and has existing connections in the region. It’s important that you are motivated to build a profile through networking and relationship building, perhaps you already have a network of your own. In return, the firm offers a strong platform to help you grow your practice, with the support, infrastructure and backing needed to do so.
Clear and structured progression pathways are in place for senior lawyers, with encouragement to take on increased responsibility for client relationships, business development and team leadership. The firm is committed to providing the right environment to support long-term career development, including mentoring, collaboration and ongoing support.
You will:
- Advise on a broad range of family law matters, with a particular emphasis on financial remedy work,
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Family team to share knowledge and ensure a consistent, high-quality service to clients,
- Contribute to business development and networking opportunities, both internally and externally, helping to raise the profile of the team and the firm in Cambridge,
- Support, supervise and train more junior members of the team
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor, or legal executive, with five or more years’ PQE and a strong background in family law, with significant experience in financial remedy matters. Experience within the Cambridge market and an existing local network would be advantageous.
You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong technical ability, manage client relationships effectively and sensitively, have a strong commercial acumen and have a growth mindset.
If you are looking for a senior role where you can play a visible part in shaping a growing team, develop your profile in the Cambridge market and work within a supportive and collegiate environment, we would be pleased to hear from you.
