About The Role

A brand new and exciting opportunity to build and lead our Employment team in our new Birmingham office. We are seeking an all-round employment practitioner with contentious and non-contentious experience, with excellent city and regional contacts and, ideally, a following. You will join our growing business services team and will play a full role in business development as well as in the growth of the Employment team in line with the firm's general expansion into the Birmingham market.  
Our new Partner will be welcomed by a collegiate team who are present in 10 of our 11 offices. The employment and Immigration team comprise of 12 Partners and a further 33 team players, who bring their passion for bringing excellence everyday. We offer a full range of employment law services across a vast client base, including private, public and third sector organisations of various sizes. 

About You

About You:
  • Self-starter, with some following or potential for re-establishing existing connections
  • Ability to plan the growth of a Birmingham team and to work with the wider Employment team
  • Commercially-minded
  • Ambitious, but able to encourage the development of junior talent
  • Ability to pick up referrals from a busy office and to refer work effectively
  • You could be an existing partner or just keen and able to become a partner upon joining
